It wasn't me BTW,

Asking for a friend really,

Anyone know how many points you can expect for getting done at 64mg within the first 2 years?

I'm kinda thinking this is gonna come back as "it depends on the Judge/Court/Driver", but just wondering as a guideline for him...

Cheers,

Carl.

Instant ban! Due to the fact hes lost his licence in the first two years he'll have to retake his test aswell! and his insurance will cost a fortune too!
Not harsh enough either in my opinion!

edit: btw, your friend is a cock

:yeahthat:

With all the extra pressure to be careful in the first two years of getting a licence and your mate does that? No excuse, and the roads will be a safer place with them banned. :shakehead: I hope the judge throws the book at them...

(Sorry to be judgemental, but a good friend lost his best mate because of a drunk driver (n))

I know someone who protested his innocence when they got banned for it, saying as it was slightly over the limit they should have got points.

However that persons attitude changed quite quickly when some pissed up fool planted a mondeo into his parked sierra at about 40mph a number of years later. (and indeed this was back in 1999).

After this he claimed all drink drivers should go to jail. What a loser

only have to take retest if ordered to do so its only auto on points, so if you get a ban it dont count, silly govenment forgot to include bans

I thought it's now a possible jail sentence?

Also... slightly off topic, but.... They also want driving whilst using a phone to be punished by imprisonment.

i've been done twice, 2 year ban first time, 3 year ban second time, prison if i do it again and a 5 year ban. i know its not clever but when i've had a drink i dont think straight. i leave the car at home now if i know im going to have a drink.

cheers guys, thought he would get a ban...

He knows he's been a **** on this, and he does regret it (i did tell him, hindsight is a wonderfull thing, but it's bloody useless, he shouldn't have got in the car when he was drunk in the first place!), but we told him ourselves what we thought of drink drivers.

I'd agree, all drink drivers should get a ban i think, and that's possibly not harsh enough, i'm "fortunate" enough not to know anyone who's got hurt by one, but i would certainly be on the warpath if it did happen to anyone (God forbid...) and would hope the driver got all they could throw at him.

i wont even get in the car after one, but all those mornings after about 5 years ago, i must have been still over and i never really realised till someone at work got banned nipping out on a sunday afternoon for a hangover kentucky, then got breathised and banned for being over the limit from the night before

I've only driven after having 2 WKD's (even then a friend had most one 1)and a pint of Coca cola. Nothing more. Or else we walk. At the local by the college we do a surrender your car keys thing, and you don't get them back that night if you've had to much to drink.

How many units is 35mg (the limit)?
