Very late joining this thread, but this looks like fun, and my wife and I are interested in joining in...... With the driving I do anyway for my job, this should be a piece of cake!

... and why not. We'll have space, comfort, room for lots of supplies, can sleep in the back if needs be, we can carry extra passengers (useful if others break down), we've got the Connect system to call for assistance if we break down.......
We've also got a 500-550 mile range on a single tank of fuel!!!

Trouble is, asking people who are taking part to set the challenges is a bit like asking people taking an exam to set their own questions.... It's a nice idea, but will end up having the challenges biased heavily towards people taking part with local knowledge of the areas in which the challenges are set....
We ideally need the challenges set by people not taking part! Tricky to make happen, but fairer!

Having a quick think on this....
Firstly we are looking to do the photos on digital cameras, so there should be no reason why we can't ask for either two photos of each challenge (one with driver, one with co-driver), or a small bonus awarded for teams who manage to get someone else to take a photo of the whole team at once!
Secondly, we should look to have photos for each town/location visited with either a 'welcome to xxxxx' sign and at least one team member, or if there is no 'weclome to xxx' sign, a sign that shows they are close to the location. There should be a bonus awarded for the team(s) who's photos show they got the closest to the location (assuming the location hasn't got a specific challenge set). Again, bonus points for photos with the whole team, and extra bonus points if the car is in the picture also!

the reason why we are asking people for ideas of challanges is because some people will know about an area more than others and may have a good idea on what could make a good challange in that area. the only way it could really cause a prblem if one person made up all the changes and took part in it, but its different ideas from different people. so it shouldn't really be a problem IMO

First few ideas for challenges from Team K then.....
Cheltenham - The southern end of the Gloucestershire Warwickshire heritage railway is at Cheltenham Racecourse. The challenge should be to get a current timetable from the station, and bonuses for photos of team members with a guard at the station, with extra bonuses for photos of team members by/on one of their trains!
For Sheffield, the location for the hit film 'The Full Monty', the challenge could be to get a photo of one or more of the team members outside the building that was the club used for the final show in the film.... It was a cinema, was converted into a school of dancing, then a snooker hall, and is now a carpet and furniture warehouse and it's on Idsworth Road. Perhaps a bonus for a photo of a team member looking like they're performing in the film?!
Alternatively for Sheffield, there's a Fire and Police Museum in Sheffield (101-109 West Bar). They have a police cell done out as it would have been 100 years ago - the challenge could be to get a leaflet about the museum, and a photo of one or more of the team in the cell!
Gloucester has the Gloucester Ski and Snowboarding Centre at Robinswood Hill (off Matson Lane), GL4 6EA... The challenge could be to get a leaflet about the centre and a photo of the team at the top of the ski slope?! Bonus points for a photo of a member of the team on skis or a ski-board (don't have to be on the slope!)....
Blackpool should involve something on the 'Golden Mile' - not sure what though!
Will come up with something for Birmingham and Manchester later!
Thoughts?

Another Late Entry. Me and my brother Ste are coming along for the rally aswell. Me in my Bravo and he will be in his cinq, if it can make it to the start line.
Will we be aloud to be in the same team although in seperate cars or, will we have to be on indvidual teams and get lost every 5 minutes.

Chris, it would be prefrable for you to be in the same car for judging purposes, you can be in seperate teams and follow each other and camp in the same place etc. but you will need to complete the challenges seperately. This has to be the same unfortunately to prevent multiple car teams from splitting up challenges etc. which wouldn't be in the spirit of the adventure and we wouldn't want any questions to follow it.
Hope that's ok, if so, restate your intentions to enter and I will add you to the list ASAP (might be tuesday afternoon after my final exam)
