I have just found out that I have to go to this place on Friday. I cant find anything much about it on Google and the map shows little more than a cluster of houses. There are plenty of people who are more "Northener" than me in here, can anyone tell me about the place from firsthand knowledge?

Dunno what to expect, I am curious because there appears to be nothing there. I am going to look at some equipment at the landfill site. I might have to stay for a day or so, I guess Darlington is the best place to find a hotel

No i'd generally avoid Darlington at all costs its the chav capital of the north east next to middlesborough!.

Your cheapest option would be the premier travel inn in Newton aycliffe. Depends on how much money you got :p

Or theres http://www.uk-conference-venues.co....Durham/Rushyford-Swallow-Eden-Arms-Hotel.html
The eden arms is a veeeery nice place to stay top quality

or the Redworth Hotel (also classy :)) Redworth would be closest to Bolam IIRC. http://www.paramount-hotels.co.uk/hotels/northern-england/redworth-hall-hotel/

Any more local info needed feel free to ask.

thanks for the advice guys but.......I have booked a room at the Darlington Premier inn at Morton park. I use them whenever possible, company has an account with them. They are clean tidy and you know what you are getting....and that includes a s**t-hot breakfast.
