sorry.... all i meant was it's taken me a while to get into the forum.... same with any forum cos people know each other and the "in-jokes" etc so takes a while to catch up if you're new.

Must admit it was like that for me. It felt a bit weird at first but now its like a second home

most people join when they have a problem, they ask 1 question, get some advice, then never come back again. if they do come back it is only when they have another problem with their car. that is to be expected since this is a fiat forum after all, so the whole point is that people can come here for support with their fiats.
as a member you dont need to become a part of the forum community. we shouldnt think less of people who only 'use' us when they need help, thats the whole point of this forum, to support those people. the vast majority of my post count is from giving car advice to new members. i see that as my responsiblity, i want to make sure the forum can offer the service it is intended for.
as long as enough people stay active to keep the community alive then its not a problem and the forum will survive. people will come and go, but there has always been plenty of long term active members, certainly more than on most forums, especially car related ones.

When i first joined i was expecting to just ask about my car and not stray away from that but i now find myself in other sections of the forum and trying to help others when possible.

i dont get to come on as often as i used to and ive noticed alot of new members, and some settle in very quickly (JFL)
ive also noticed that jokes and characteristics of the forum change very quickly and you can spend some time catching back up!
