What picture software you using???

For your avatar, ideally resize down to 64 * 64 pixels - you do lose definition

Once got avatar uploaded to imageshack, just click 'add avatar' in your profile. Then select it!

Have you uploaded it - you need to add it to avatar, with imageshack link. Then log out of profile, go back in, select it and voila
