run a washing machine on hot feed only?

alright so on my DIY quest to remove another rubber band from the washing machine pump i sheared the cold feed.
nothing like an explosive spray of mains pressure cold water to revive you

now i assume i can run the machine on hot feed only for tonight,until i can buy a replacement tomorrow?

might not be at 45º could be more also it could be a little low on water

well ive got a combi boiler so can drop the temp down on the boiler
its for work uniform.machine was broke all week but i was on nightshifts so didnt bother my ass to fix it

swap the hot n cold valves over, then run on just cold, i dont reckon it will work on just hot, it will get stuck on rince when it needs the cold water.

Correct, swap hose to cold feed only - lower temperature washes will work fine. Rinses use cold water only, so machine would hang up waiting for water. And don't just connect the hot to the cold valve - you'll shrink stuff!

The thermostat is buggered on ours so if there is hot water in our tank, then its constantly on boil wash

all your clothes will shrink and it be costing you loads electric, be cheaper to get it fixed
