Please help Lancia!



Luca Cordero di Montezemolo is the new president of Fiat Auto spa,
for this reason a group of people with Lancia in their hearts have written a letter for the new President because he can't forget Lancia and its history!
Lancia is 11 times world rally champion, Lancia need resorces and investments for new models, this is the only way to come back great!!

Egregio signor presidente Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, chi le scrive questa lettera è un gruppo di appassionati di auto italiane e di Lancia in particolar modo, vogliamo farle i nostri più sentiti auspici affinché lei riesca a riportare a livelli di eccellenza l’intero gruppo Fiat, missione che siamo certi riuscirà a concretizzare alla luce delle moltissime affermazioni sportive che la Ferrari ha conseguito sotto la sua guida ed alla rinascita in grande stile di una casa di prestigio come Maserati che sembrava ad un passo dalla chiusura.
Purtroppo il marchio del gruppo che di più ha pagato alcune scelte di manager poco lungimiranti (scioglimento della squadra corse, abbandono della trazione integrale, modelli senza appeal) è stato, come lei ben saprà, la Lancia. Tuttavia gli ultimi modelli come l’ammiraglia Thesis, la raffinata Phedra e la nuova piccola Ypsilon sembrano aver inaugurato un nuovo corso per la nostra amata Lancia. Noi non abbiamo la presunzione e l’ingenuità di volerle suggerire quali saranno le prossime mosse da fare, semplicemente vogliamo portare alla sua attenzione quelle che sono le aspettative e le speranze di molti lancisti. Vorremmo che la favolosa Thesis venisse supportata da un’adeguata campagna pubblicitaria e promozionale come si stà facendo per la Ypsilon, che riceva nuovi motori diesel ed a benzina di cubatura più elevata magari ed abbinati ad una trazione integrale per consentirle di contrastare ad armi pari la concorrenza d’oltralpe. E’ un vero peccato che un auto così ben costruita e dalla forte personalità abbia ricevuto un’accoglienza così tiepida da parte del mercato, sarebbe auspicabile anche ampliare la rete di vendita al di fuori dai confini nazionali.
L’altra perplessità è legata all’erede della Lybra che ormai è a fine carriera, abbiamo il timore che un segmento così importante per la Lancia rimanga scoperto vanificando il lavoro fatto finora, vorremmo che la nuova Lybra oltre ad essere un auto di qualità e di classe avesse anche quella dinamicità che dovrebbe essere prerogativa di ogni auto italiana sulla falsariga della concept Lancia Granturismo presentata nel 2002 al Salone di Parigi, è quella l’auto che molti si aspettano di vedere in un autosalone Lancia nei prossimi anni.
Infine le saremmo infinitamente grati se lei riconsiderasse la possibilità di mettere in produzione la bellissima Fulvia concept presentata al Salone di Francoforte lo scorso anno, un’auto che ha dimostrato quanto sia ancora vivo in tutta Europa l’interesse per la Lancia e per le sue vecchie glorie, un modello che farebbe da traino all’intera gamma sull’onda emotiva dello storico modello da cui prende spunto, una carta vincente che l’intero gruppo Fiat non può permettersi di non giocare in un momento così delicato.
Siamo certi che le nostre richieste saranno prese per quanto possibile in considerazione e che lei saprà fugare ogni nostra perplessità sul futuro della Lancia, a tal proposito sarebbe auspicabile e gratificante se lei ci potesse rispondere pubblicamente.
