I bought a noddy car for £20.00 for my grandson last christmas but now he has outgrown it I want to sell it but I have seen them going for as little as £10.00 on ebay Didn't think it could lose so much money so fast.

I can't believe how much value my car has lost since i bought it in february this year pre reg 2006 car. 1.4 active sport
I bought it for £8000 which included 17 inch alloy wheels.
I think now with 8000 miles on it ill be lucky to get £6500 for it.
just wondered if other people are losing
this much I want to sell it because I want a bigger car.

hey there mate

to be fair its known that any car loses 1 grand as soon as it leaves the forcourt. so i fink relaly uve only lost 500 quid.becase as soon as u leave the dealer you have lost 1 thousand pounds on it already.i used 2 work at a garage and that was the word everyone used to say there. my sales manager said to me "thats a nice car but shame shes lost 1 grand already on it now". not mentioning names...cough peugeot cough :)

To be honest, the market for Noddy cars has been hit hard lately. Legislation means safety in these vehicles (plastics doors, lack of roof, comedy horn) has come into question and you may struggle to even recoup 50% of the amount you paid, even so soon.

What colour is it? I know a bloke with rather large ears who may be interested.

Who wants a noddy car? Old news.

silly boys, you're meant to make money on cars, even fiats.

paid £365 for my first bravo, sold it for £950
paid £750 for my second bravo, sold it for £1500

my favorite was my GF's first car, a saxo, bought it for £800 sold it for £1900. :slayer:

i've only ever lost money on one car, my AX GT, and thats only because i left it offroad sat in mud for 2 years.

Depreciation? What's that?

I paid £46 for my Uno with 62K on the clock in 2003. I've now taken the mileage up to 102K, the car is 21 years old and similar mk1's on Ebay have been going for over £200!

I must have the only Fiat that's gone up 4 x in value since it was bought! :p

When you're at rock bottom the only way is up :p
