The first clue is when they pull you over because of your speed.
25mph on a 60mph limit, and with your eyes half shut you explain that smell is a herbal air freshener duude.

Not necessarily... some of the effects last much longer than half an hour. It can be in your blood for days. Say you have an accident and someone gets hurt, police turn up, a witness says you were driving a bit dodge (even if you wearnt) Police give you a roadside breath test, you pass, then they smell cannabis in your car. Give you a roadside impariment test... its as easy as that.

back on topic, i would never drink and drive. I know how much it can affect your judgement...
a few weeks ago, id been to pick a couple of mates up for a nite in with some booze. after about my 4th can, i remembered id left the car in the driveway, not in the garage. since i wasnt going on public road i went to go put it away. Theres a pit in our garage, which rarely has the boards over it cos i use it so much. when im sober, its no problem- after 4 cans i felt OK and didnt think anything of it. put the car away and thought top job (was pretty sure id got it central over the pit.) next morning i went out to the car. 3 inches or so to the left and it wudda been in the pit wasnt quite as central as i thought

the Police cary out a FIT (field impairment test)
the best one for canabis that i have seen is to get the driver to focus on the tip of a biro and make them folow it with their eyes (not move their head) they go round a couple of times then bring it level with their nose and down to make them go boz-eyed once the eyes get to this point they spring back... then there are swabs that can be put into a computer and analise them for trace elements of drugs....
Knew a lad who had a bust up with his missus after a night out he staggered home then decided to go and look for her in his car outside a nightclub at some traffic lights he was seen setting off burnout style right in front of a cop van and the coppers never batted an eyelid

Drink Driving is only irrisponsible if the individual who has been drinking lies to themselves and attempts to drive a car when they are incapable.

I know what what I can do and can't do. I can't comment for other people. I know drink drivers who can drive better then a lot of females. Doesn't make female drivers illegal.

when i've had a slight drink yeah, not drunk though.
Which is why I said it is as irrisponsible as the person drinking who has gone past knowing what can be attempted and what shouldn't be attempted.
I can play pool in both conditions but my pool skills go as far as aiming, shooting and attempting to line up a follow up shot. I can't back spin, I can't place balls on the table where I want them but I can play pool like I always play pool sober or drunk. If I'm too w4nkered to play I'll tell the opponent.. "mate, I'm too w4nkered to challenge you, I can barely see, try me again in maybe half an hour"
I'd do the same if I had to drive home in a similar condition. Too w4nkered? Don't drive.

I used to drive home p*ssed all the time, not any more though it's not worth losing my job over aside from other factors.
Alot of mates still do it, in fact I've been in numerous drink driving accidents.
Looking back it's idiotic, but I bet 90% of the people who have commented on this thread saying how bad it is have done it.

Not a big drinker anyway but when I do theres always a designated driver / taxi on call .
As for the FIT test screw it just say 'Would sir like a Jaffa Cake' obviously if there stoned there going to eat the whole box.
