Last night we had a nice evening planned. One of our girls was leaving work so we decided to go out and eat and then get drunk. Some of the girls decided they would go to our cinema to watch a film first.

While they were watching the film some sneaky bastard crawlled along the floor went through their bags from the row behind took some money and some cards and a mobile and left the bag.

Initially one of the girls only thought they dropped their phone. What they discovered later is that the sneaky criminal took debit cards from behind other cards so that it appears as if nothing had gone missing.

One of the girls was really upset as she lost all her important telephone numbers.

The same girls card was then used to book tickets at our (the very same) own cinema to watch a film.

We saw a guy on CCTV who looked suspect as he left through a fire exit. He then came back at around 1930 to watch the film he booked tickets for using a stolen card.

The girls and the manager phoned the police at 1920 after they realised it was theft and not and accident.

The film was 2hrs and 20mins The criminal comfortably sat and watched the film using tickets he effectivly stole.

The Police arrived comfortably 3 hours later even though they were well aware the thief was in the facility.

The girls waited for them for 2 and a half hours then left and joined us for dinner, then were interrupted when the police arrived at the cinema and had to go back to give a statement. Damn right ruined their evening.

The real crim got away, yet again.

Lesson? When there is an emergency or something like that? Deal with it yourself as the lazy bastards don't really care about your safety. Its all just going into "work" at the end of the day.

someone who stole from your friends was sat in a cinema giving you ample opportunity to prepare and you didnt have a bunch of people waiting outside for them afterwards? we must live in very different worlds.

surprised the police turned up at all tbh, they've got much more important things to deal with than theft, such as putting the lottery on. dont even bother caling them, they just get in the way and then arrest you for assaulting a thief.

We all worked there and was instructed by management not to get involved or we might get fired and to let the proper "authorities" deal with it.

The police have got nothing important going on. Last time at work a group of guys Headbutted a pregnant member of staff and then proceded to hang around threatening us with suposid weapons. The law still took 2hrs 15mins to arrive.

Another graphic picture of 21st century Britain.... or should I say England?

  :bang: (n) :yuck:

OMG thats terrible, nowadays you have to be very careful with your belongings and keep them with you constantly, but i would never think that someone would rifle through handbags in the cinema.
Also hes got a real cheek to come back in and buy tickets using the card that was stolen(obviously hes a smart arse and doesnt think he will get caught).
It will catch him up eventually.
Maybe it would have had a better outcome if you done something yourself, but you cant possibly know what they could do, they could be armed with a gun or knife... you acnt be too careful these days.:)

few movies last longer than 3 hours so it wont be the cops who catch him.

Yeah will be probably be someone like me if they do it to my mrs. Buy a ticket for said film he's watching go in and strangle the bastard while he's watching it.

I've lost faith in society and humanity and don't give a s**t anymore the police don't do didley squat as Jug said they are normally running errands like putting the lottery on and buying coffee and cookies from tesco's as I see nearly every night I go shopping.

Makes me wanna join the police and end up like that guy on Hot Fuzz :slayer:

god thats a terrible story, especialy since you couldnt do anything even though that bastard was sitting in the cinema for that long.,
he probably robbed loads of other people when he went back into the second film.,
Ive heard poeple giving out about the cops a lot but i never thought they would be that bad, Over here they would be there in a few mins.,

I tend to put my purse in my back pocket, they'd have to grab a hold of my ass to steal anything and even then i'll have that warm feeling that my bottom was carressed :D

That won't stop them dobby. They'll probably have a good feel before legging it :p

I hope so :D

There will probably be less in my purse than i would have paid for someone to feel my bum :ROFLMAO:

Gotta say your back pocket is not the safest of places even in tight clothes, the ability of some of these people is amazing. Just a quick pump or whatever as a distraction and they or a mate will have it and be gone before you notice a thing..

Its real sad that this is what modern culture has come too but it has. Trust no-one is the only safe way to go but life seems so sad when you have to be suspicious of everyone.

The mistake was reporting a theft, should have said he robbed you at knife or gun point and the cops would have nabbed him in no time.

true as can be, read in the paper not to long ago about a guy who phoned the police after he saw someone breaking into his shed to be told no-one was available and an officer would be round as soon as poss. So rang back and told them not to bother as he had shot the bloke. His house was surrounded by armed response officers in less than 5 mins. How is that no-one available??

unfortunatly this is how it is :(

turbo cinq was vandalised on the drive on a sunday afternoon.
next door neighbour reported it whilst in progress(he's over 70 so not capable of much else v a gang of chavs)
when i got home i phoned about an hour later
the police arrived wednesday night

You want to hear the story about the guy who was really robbed at knife point and the police response time?

You want to hear the story about the boys who were driving up and down outside the cinema waving a gun from their car window after pointing at someone, nobody knows who, and the Police response time?

Lets just say about 45 minutes and we are still waiting.
