had job interview tuesday and got the job yay, it factory work packing bacon in boxes etc..... anyone no what this sort of work is like? silly question i no but suppose im just delighted:D

most jobs are monotonous eventually. just consider yourself as having a head start :p

seriously though, congrats. money in the pocket is always a good thing to have. if you don't like it just keep looking for something else whilst you're working there.

whats the pay? you will get more money if you are on the pick in factories rather than the shop floor

A picker is someone who Picks orders rather than a packer/line worker,

you'll probably find the place quiet cold take a spair pair of socks and buy soem decent hand cream as you will be washing your hands with soap alot, every time you leave and enter the process area, so say 6 time a day plus every time you visit the loom, and you will soon never want to see a bacon sandwich again :D

Yeah I did some assembly line work when I was 16 and in the summer holidays to save some money for my first car (W reg Punto 1.2 8v:eek:). It was through an agency on a casual basis and was 12hour shifts but I was on £6.45 an hour which I considered great at the time :D. But my was it blooooody booooring! :bang:.
