why waste money on a social experiment to see how they will turn out/fend for themselves....visit any high street in the UK at schools kicking out time.....

i'd watch it. I dont think theres anything wrong with it so long as procedures are put in place to ensure the childrens safety, and obviously they are allowed to leave at anytime.
The only thing i do see slightly controvertial about it is whether the kids are mature enough to make the decision to do this. do they understand the possible consequences etc...
Overall i think it can only have a positive effect on them. I think it will teach them how they should take what they have at home for granted and teach them respect for their elders - they will soon see how much they rely on them. They should do an asbo teens version of the show over here.

Needs to go one step further. Persistant young offenders should be abandoned on some remote island like Anthrax and left to fend for themselves. Just need to scrap the 40 day limit and make it indefinite :devil:
