What's made you smile today?

Must be my age, but when I started looking for this thread it was Tuesday night, about 11.30. But I got dragged into other threads and now it's 01.30 on Wednesday. So, this would have to go under the heading of "What's made you smile today, yesterday? I think.
Anyway, at about 01.30 this morning, (Tuesday) I was half way though a pint
of Old Speckled Hen and The Wife (note capitals) was watching some re-run on Hallmark, when suddenly she said: "You know what I really fancy"? Well I admit I was a bit previous, but my trousers were round my ankles before she said: "I fancy a drive and listening to some music." Sheepishly, I pulled my trousers back up and in a few minutes we were setting out in the Stilo and headed up the A6 through Whaley Bridge where we went onto Long Hill, which
I think is the old A6. We stopped in a lay-by and looked up at the stars of which tens of thousands could be seen. In Manchester, less than 20 miles away, very few were visible. It was pretty cold up there but that definately brought a smile to my face. Not only the stars, but also the fact that we didn't get in until 4 a.m. Not done that for a long time. Oh and when I took my trousers off this time.....Sorry but you're all much too young for that sort of thing.

Blasting Dobbies Bravo / Brava off on a road near Dudley made ME happy today!.... (y)
