Halving forecast mileage..?

Nah same information as last year, I'm only 2k short of my normal mileage despite lockdown. Don't have a big commute normally and it tends to be the car that does the daytrips and when lockdown was eased in summer it did quite a few.

Also few holiday UK holiday plans next year as well (not until later in the year) so probably do a bit more given the trip to get there...so short answer no.

From another thread, "phobic wheel relearn".

Probably quite appropriate. Might adopt that term for it.

Personally I hate these return of films, they are never as good as the original!

I recently bought some full synthetic gear oil to the GL5 spec. It's £20 per litre!!!!
Almost wish I'd run the old stuff through a sock and put it back.

By the way the 100HP six speed takes nearly two litres.

Managed to get 4L of Castrol 0W-30 C2 oil from Halfords for £17.50! Considering it's sometimes as high as £50 , usually expect to pay £30 that was a bargain!

If any of you are planning a service soon, now might be the time to avail of that! :D

Thanks. Even £30 would be cheap for this stuff. I may get one in stock. Im still on the first litre I go in 2017 but could supply it to the dealer at service. That would save another £40.....

Mrs went out yesterday and came back in limp home with the yellow light on. MES said intermittent fault 'manifold air leak'. After warming it up it went out and I then re charged the battery. Today it had a good and proper Italian service and leg stretch after which no issues detected and its running much more smoothly. I think they all need a few decent runs, but not much chance of that now. Still at least we are here alive and as far as I know fit so that's enough reason to smile.

My wife says her clock reset itself yesterday. I think when she started the car but she's not sure. Battery is was good, though not the best, about 2 years ago, but replacement alternator was used. Hopefully its just the battery.

Anyone watch the “ goes wrong show” BBC catch up. I watch it with my Grandson, my daughter has the same sense of humour as me as well. It’s so stupid and ridiculous it’s ridiculously funny. My wife can’t see it at all. Not for everyone, but if you find yourself at a loose end, this will get your juices going one way or another :D

Last years - I think it was Peter Pan? - was absolutely hilarious. Didn't think this years was quite so good but still had a good giggle.

Just had a look on you tube for "goes wrong show" quite a few to look at.

Whoever thought stuff like this was worth collecting was a true genius. It's an absolute hoot.

Talking about old time motoring, I remember the M1 when it looked like this:

Anyone remember Ernie Marples? Also I think that's an early Lotus - Elite maybe? at about 55 secs into it. A car crash at speed in those old jalopies was always a very serious afair.
Oh, and yes, I can remember the Cliff Richard song - had a wee "sing along" to myself!

Playing today's PopMaster with my colleague. Round 1 score: 18-0 to me; Round 2 score: 15-3 to me, lol! [emoji23][emoji2]

If I manage to catch popmaster every day for a whole week, I can usually answer one question.
On a good session, I can understand the answers to more than half the questions.
On one occasion, I managed to answer three questions in one set, one of which was a bouns question.
I don't think I'm ready to compete.:D

I've just counted my lifetime's collection of CDs. 22.

Popmaster..
I was going to tell puntofan he's done well.. being so young

And the reason I only get a handfull correct is I'm too old..
But Nigel has saved me the embarrassment there :p

Its odd ..Isnt it..

I WAS great with 80's and fair with 90's..

But they still cover the 60's songs..

And the last 20 years I know NOTHING about

Lots of amusing things on the internet regarding covid, the British humour is still alive, had a wee smile when I read the following...Never thought I’d see the day when I went into my bank wearing a mask asking for money..:D

Better still it staves off frost bite of the nose in this cold weather
