Speaking to a friend of my parents who owns a Ferrari. He was telling us that he got pulled over recently for speeding at 140mph. Apparently the police officer has a brother who owns the same model so let him off with a "mind how you go".

I call BS on that one!

140 indicated could be nearer 120 in reality..

All depends where-when etc... to 'having a word'

Years ago a friend had been 'making progress' on a road he knew well

Pulling back in where sensible..etc

Got pulled when exiting for '80 in a 70' on the sliproad

(When he knew they wouldve seen another 30+ on that)

Mind how you go..

BBC news.

The story is unimportant...

What is amusing though, I'm now in Scotland.

That sign is down the road from me on Prudhoe bypass just after the castle roundabout.

Everything north of Watford...the North, everything north of Manchester Scottish borders/Scotland/here thar be monsters. A few years ago they described Durham as being in the borders. Which makes sense if you classify London as being on the French border.

Any decent copper wont let anything over 100 go with just a warning, speeding is regarded the same as drink or drug driving theses days it causes more death and injury that drink driving now.

I can't do link but there is a hilarious voice over done by Jane Godley of the Scottish first minister. :D If you can understand the heavy Glasgow accent, you will pee yourself laughing...:D

Whether you like her politics or not - a debate for another time - you have to say she makes things nice and clear without all the Ummming and Eeeering of the central government chaps. Have to say Starmer is a good speaker too.

I can see what Boris is trying to do, and I don't disagree that we've got to get the economy cranked up again, but I'm finding it very difficult to see how it can be effective until we get a vaccine or some other way of us all being able to rub along shoulder to shoulder once again.

In our wee village council recently filled in pot holes. The machine allows it so no one has to get out of the vehicle. Back & forward spraying tar like substance firstly, then a coat of "rice crispies" What a mess, the only way it's lasting any time at all is the lack of traffic at the moment.....:D

There is a machine that councils 'lease'

Its got a name akin to 'firebreather'.. ;)

Its actually Irish..on Irish plates
And fuses the structure pretty well..
Oxford area TV news covered it when it 1st got the job.. seeing it at work myself a few times was good.

I must admit the main roads around here (edge of Brecon Beacons) have been done pretty well
They were Excellent last year.. but the winters flooding had taken a toll..
Back to a good standard now

I must admit all the bad bits of motorway lane 1 Ive been dodging for 6 to 9 months have now been done too :)
