4 days of linux fails and Windows achieved it in a few hours!

Not sure if this is a happy or sad post really :confused:

Either way I finally have some decent storage at home again :D

Got through another winter with out spending hundreds of ££ on winter tyres :slayer:

By the reckoning of some forum members we are all complete idiots for not getting winter tyres and at the first sign of frost / snow / cold wet roads we'd all end up in ditches / hedges. How many of us did that actually happen to :confused:

:slayer::slayer:

I survived too! Have for the last 5 since I've been driving!

Same, but I've gone 17 years without incident. Having said that, if I could comfortably spare the money to buy and fit winter tyres, I would, just so I'd know I'd done all I could to avoid an accident. As it stands at the moment, I cannot justify the cost of winter tyres, so if conditions are particularly bad I make the call not to drive.
TBH I see them as a useful luxury item - not a neccessity

31.78MPG in a 13 year old petrol car
This is just my daily commute to work and not really being super gentle on the right foot.

£55 got me 285 miles so far, rekon I could squeeze another 10-15 miles.

Got 38mpg on a trip to coventry and back!

Pretty happy

Bloke at work started talking to someone with Down syndrome, which I thought was nice, asking how he was and all that...then just says 'my brother is one of you'. God knows how I didn't stop myself laughing at the way he worded it. He didn't mean it in a horrible way, just a bit stupid I think! The look the guys mum gave him was priceless!
