the "top end" of the engine - contrary to what you said about "stronger engine" they are renowned for failing, for one main reason - the camshaft lobes wear for one reason or another and bits of metal start to float away to the rest of the engine. Which causes all sorts of nasty problems.

Sorry im not trying to put you off though! theres plenty well-kept ones that are fine :)

The exhaust cam nearest the exhaust can wear due to oil degradation due to the heat, usually collects in the sump hopefully. but only heard one or two cases of this, think they're modified ones, a heat shield of stainless should solve that.

16Vt stronger engine? No. However it is better when abused. When looked after the 20vt is more reliable and better on petrol :p.

Also mines faster ;). I took the owner of the one your buying out in mine and he was surprised :D :p.

And I'm defo going for a HKS BOV im addicted. My forge one just doesn't tsssh enough lol.

16vt is a very strong engine, much more than 20vt. less reliable and more prone to go wrong though. but block is very overengineered for a road car. the 20v is a 5 cylinder variant of the 1.8 used in punto/bravo etc, so also related to the 1.8 alfa 16v twinsparks.

16v engine has a racing pedigree that is almost impossible to beat!!!! 20v? none that i'm aware of.
if i had had the choice between 16vt or 20vt coupe i'd take the 20vt though!

Im forgiving and forgetting today. Im apologising to the people I hurt and accepting people back into my life which I thought I would never talk to again. Im finally on the up and I feel positive today.

Also got Death note on order for when I get paid :D

just insured the coop with elephant for £757.39 including breakdown cover and recovery :)

tried ringing around but no one managed to beat it, or even match it :D
That's only slightly more than I was paying on my 20VT when I first got it, so that's pretty good for a youngster like you I reckon!
