yeap you did lol, since then it's happened twice, well now a third time! after 400 miles! argh.

there were bits of the valve in the clylinder, luckily no damage!

i opened up the bit facing the radiator and a spring is loose, going to try and take it apart but don't know where to start

sounds like a plan lol.

heres a piccy of the bit where the 2 cable meet (dont know name) on the side of the barrel.

i've adjusted it then put the top end back on the bike, it's working now but doesn't seem right, has an awful flat spot then feels like your being rammed from behind when the valve kicks in.



a book i have says to align 2 marks but there are a few

you've lost your bottom end torque, that means the valve is opening too early.

right, i'll take another look tommorow, it sounded like it was clipping the piston the 2nd time i adjusted it
