seeing as though my old phone is still under warranty, thought i may as well get it sent in to be fixed (then i can use it when i sell the n95 on ebay.. ). i know that all of threes customer service is outsourced to india, and wasn't looking forward to going through the process of explaing the fault etc etc.

anyway, i was in a queue for about 2minute and got through to a guy who spoke very good english, and spoke very clearly. I could easily understand him, and he could understand me. i was quite shocked. unfortuneatly, i was at work and didnt have the phone with me so when he asked for the imei number i couldnt tell him what it was. not a problem, all the details so far had been saved and i just had to ring back later.

little worried that i'd got the only guy who could speak decent english (heard so many horror stories about three's customer service).. but got the imei and rang back, phone answered straight away and a different bod - but same deal as before, easy to understand etc.

so thats it really, i was pleasantly suprised, nice work three (y)

many times i've stuggled to communicate with people in uk call centres.

Heh, agreed! And thats from working in a UK call centre. Equipment and training varys so much. It can either make a job real easy or near impossible!

I found my time with 3 good however at the end of my contract I left to go to O2 who had a better offer on the table. Now Three managed to charge mee £100 which they shouldnt have and this is the problem with talking to India, you try and explain your argument, they dont understand and repeatedly answer with robotic statements! A tad frustrating!

your are very lucky because i have had nothing but problems when i have to ring them:mad:

Depending on what you need from three, you will be transfered to someone in the UK but if its the common issues like.

Phone bill queiries
Incorrect / missing items in the delivery package
Can't make outgoing calls
No one can call you

Then you'll most likely get to speak to John, Peter, michelle or suzan... from India and they will not know WTF you are on about and transfer you around at random to one of their siblings whom you'll have to explain absolutlely everything again... and then be transfered or asked to ring a different number or be told you'll get a call back.

Boo! I've only ever had one straight forward phone call to three... ONE. the rest of them are a nightmare waiting to happen. Fortunately since Nokia started making 3G compatible phones I've not really had to call three.

It was the LG's that were the problem
