Just a quick one for anyone here who keeps fish...

I've bought a tank and all the bits today for a tropical aquarium. I've set it all up and added the chlorine destroyer etc and am patiently waiting a week before I do some tests and hopefully introduce the first members of the commuity. My question is as follows:

The front of the tank is covered in millions of tiny air bubbles on the inside ad it's startig to annoy me. What's the best way to get rid of them? Or will they dissipate when the water's up to temperature.

A random one I know, but I thought I ask here before I sign up for (another!) forum.

Also...just seen the new Bravo ad...NICE :D

Freshwater. Still a few bits left to get, like background sheet, could do with another air pump too. Off to a different shop tomorrow. Trying to figure out what fish I want now. Have to be careful as my wife has a phobia (irrationable as it may be) of fish, so we have to get ones she thinks are pretty lol. Thinking a small shoal of neon tetra, an angel fish and a pair of dwarf gourami. I like the look of guppies, which may go in place of the gourami, as my wife thinks they're ugly

watch your angel fish with the male guppies ( the big fancy tailed ones) as the angel fish well in my tank loved too eat the tails .... stay WELL away from jap fighting fish !!!!! a male and female angel fish are a good choice they will start mateing at adult hood too i also had some shrimps they was fun too watch lol .... silver sharks are a good choice but get agressive if in a small tank sold mine last yr at 7" in a 5ft tank he was ok with the other groups

Bubbles will go. Put a few pinches of fish food on the top. It gives the bacterial cultures something to feed on, until you add fish.

As above, look up "fishless cycling" to see how to mature the tank. Start with a few fish and let the filters get used to low loads.
