fallout from the smoking ban....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/n...re/6741883.stm

i think the manager should be dealing with the cause, not the effect.....

Re: fallout from the smoking ban....

My thoughts exactly Jai. When I've been abroad in countries that already have smoking bans there's been no need for a machine pumping frangrance to mask other odours. It seems to me that the smoking ban will actually reveal the lack of cleaning and poor hygeine in many UK clubs...

Re: fallout from the smoking ban....

went out in cardiff at the weekend and some of the places were nice. but some of the places stunk of sweat (especially on dance floor) which isn't hugely attractive. though some places still smelt a little of stale smoke. but you have to battle through the thick smoke outside places to get in!

Scotland has had the ban for ages now and to be honest, its sweaty people you can smell.

Not very nice at all. So i think the club taking preventative measures is a good idea, but again not dealing with the cause. Although, unless they give everyone comming in a good "sniffing out", what can they do?
