That, surely, is the whole point of prison. It should be Hell in there to deter idiots like Paris from re-offending and coming back!

Simple fact is that after 48 hours in prison I doubt she would ever commit a crime for the rest of her life....whilst a repeat offender for other crimes is different, IMO.

Well obviously I don't know (I shouldn't have said "fact"!) but I have a feeling she will be an angel until she dies to avoid going through it again.
Keeping her in jail for 45 days would be a waste of time and money, if anything she might find out it's not as bad as she thinks.
I know it seems a really stupid thing to say but she has a lot more to lose than many people and that's always a good reason to stick to the straight and narrow, even with a short 'stretch' to remind her why. It's like sticking an 80 year old Gran in prison for 2 months for not paying her council tax, it achieves very little IMO.

That's the "punishment" side of commiting a crime I suppose but - and is 'fair' - but it doesn't mean it's worthwhile so much IMO.
I guess it should be possible that the length of a prison stay and general punishment should be (and probably already is) based upon what it will actually achieve.

hard to set and control though.
fact is she was banned from driving.the 'ultimate' punishment for a driver.
she saw fit to disregard this.
a fine is pointless for her situation,as is house arrest IMO gien her financial clout she can pretty much anything to herself.

there's a very big difference between prison and a celeb ward with your own room.
