Me and the mrs have got 2 weeks off in july but due to buying a house, have no cash for an overseas jolly, same as last year.

Last year we dropped on as it was the 2 weeks my folks were away so we lived at mine and went on days out.

Now this year my folks will be here so got to go and do something.

Now, I have a tent so was thinking of doing a little road trip around great britain for a week or so, as I have only seen saundersfoot, pembrokeshire, London and birmingham. (Dont class the lakes as its a day out place for us as are most places in nw and yorkshire)

The only problems are

a: I dont know where to go
b: this has to be done cheaply

so im looking for suggestions if anyone knows any good places to go on tour to and camp

How about Scotland? Mull of Kintyre area is very pretty

I have never been to scotland. was thinking about that.

you could do worse than base yourself around edinburgh/the borders.gives you the choice of the the touristy city or coutry stuff depending on your mood.
also cheaper to stay out of the city or at least not city centre and travel in
