They are in a war zone - as much as we disagree with that - these people were at University.
I was following this story since I left work at 4:45pm when it was just being increased from 1 dead to 22, CNN has only just increased their figure to 31, sky stated 32 about an hour ago.

Yes, they are in a war zone, but they are as innocent as these students. Why highlight the killing of 30 something US students over the killing of more people every single day in situations for which the USA is directly responsible. Is a death of an innocent in Iraq or Afghanistan of less importance than the killing of an innocent in the USA?
Firstly, only some are. But as sad as it is to say, that happens every day and has done for years now, that's years of media coverage. This is news, civilians dying in Iraq is not news, we know it's happening. If this happened every day, day in day out, it wouldn't be such a big thing.

Don't get me wrong, there is no problem with posting that at all. Obviously it's tragic, but I'm playing devils advocate to try and stir a debate.

What a different story it might have been had some of the victims excercised their right to bear arms?
Isnt it bad enough that the gunman excercised his right to bear arms? Maybe this will bring home to the americans what iraqi's are living with every day thanks to Bush & his lap dog Blair.
The killer may/may not have had legitimte carry, don't know yet. In a similar situation I would have liked the choice to have killed or been killed. Go for the gun or call 911, let me think????
What happened here has nothing to do with Bush or Blair, just a crazed killer.
If I had a pound for everytime someone brought up the war in Iraq when innocents in the US or UK are killed I'd be loaded! Talk about jumping on the 'war' bandwagon
before anything has actually been clarified.Its a bit sick to virtually say that its America's own doing that these innocent people are dead.
Give a little respect to these people, they didn't deserve it and theres probably people killed whom didn't support the war at all.

I personally find it ****ing stupid how guns are legal in america and people are shocked when things like this happen?
