I went camping with a group of mates on a farm last night for something to do. It was a really good night.
We even made two bonfires.
Will post some pics when i get them sent to me.

we tried but the fire was too hot lol. couldnt get close enough to it because of the heat

Last time I went camping was in high school years and years ago.. some idiot chucked cans of baked beans into the fire and it exploded everywhere - apparently it was considered cool

But yes camping is fun

Much more fun when u park the car and walk the last 7 miles

I have mixed views on camping...

Me and a few others from the forum camped before auto italia at gaydon at this campsite in oxfordshire, it was awesome The site was in a pretty stunning location and the weather was brilliant and it stayed relatively warm through the night, could of slept outside if you wanted to, Had a real laugh, the toilets were vile and there was no wash facilities lol but it didnt matter. Ended up washing in mcdonalds toilets in the morning but it just added to the amusement about it all...

But then twice now i've camped at santa pod in November and it was f***ing freezing! I woke up the first time with a stinking hang over was freezing to death and then went and threw up outside in the bin, niiiiiice It was that cold the condensation built up on the inside of the tent and then some drunk random person tripped on a guide wire and fell on the tent so got a shower too! lol funny now but wasnt then

I think for me the weather makes camping good or bad

Spending a tenner on a gas bottle and a heater connector to put on top of the gas bottle thereby making a small heater wouldve solved the majority of complaints here

Didnt plan on camping that time tbh
In the poxy little 2 man tent i stayed in i think a heater may have caused a fire too

2nd time we went i bought fire wood! just not enough of it haha

well i was silly and thought its warm through the day so itll be warm on the night. was i wrong.

at one point i sat in the car as it was warmer than the tent

the only other problem apart from the cold was the track to the field. it disliked the punto very very much, probably need new suspension now

last time i went 'camping' was when i was in cadets and that was on a survival weekend. first night in tents. wasn't too bad. bit chilly thanks to clear skys. the next night with ponchos in woods on exmoor. clear night again and thanks to woods a lot of moisture in the air. woke up in the middle of the night well away from my poncho as thanks to somebodys genius-ness we were sleeping on a ledge on a hill. but yeah i always wake up well before everyone when camping and it's impossible to do anything without waking everyone up

when there was a party at someones farm after sixth form ball i just parked my car there and slept in that. which was handy. still pretty cold though.

Yup, would stop the complaining, because you would be dead with Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

The two ontop of the polo look like escaped convicts in those stripes lol.

We had a good time camping down barmouth a couple of weekends ago, we had the fire and marshmellows going all night. The only problem was a bunch of rowdy chavs fighting each other right by our tent, the cold I could live with (its not camping if its warm and dry) but these chavs were doing my head in. Still had a good weekend though.
