What is going on with the work on the A614/Bawtry Road/A1 roundabout?

It looks like it's going to get a lot... lot more complicated.

It's supposed to be a lot, lot, lot better though, it has always been a nightmare at busy times. Not sure of the eventual plans but it should be worth the wait!

No, ignore what it is like right now, it's really strange and only like that for the duration of the roadworks. I drove it 3 weeks ago and nearly got lost through all of the cones

BTW: My Dad was under the impression that they were removing the roundabout completely and putting in an over/underpass with sliproads, but when we were there there was no signs of that happening, not sure if that's changed. I decided he was wrong but then wiki/answers says it's being "Grade separated" which would mean my dad is right:

i went A1 then A52 i no have a wallet, people who did the maps for my sat nav must have been scarred by news reports, as when i put in Mansfield roads it say, there is no route available for that, i had to put in Gregory boulevard

Well it's A1 north of Nottingham, A52 is having loads of work done too (I never go on it, ever) so I am guessing the signs meant that? Mansfield Road is really long so I presume it wouldn't let you do it because of that. How was the hotel?

hotel not bad a bit worn, no independent heating in rooms, and no air con at all in rooms, they just give you a fan

Yeah I guessed as much, used to be one of the top hotels in Nottingham as I told you, now it's very, very tired. It's recently been bought out and I guess the window replacement etc. is the start of a renovation of it.
