Forum Rules Updated

In an effort to make them easier to find, the forum rules now have their own page: https://www.fiatforum.com/rules.html

We're also now rolling out the infraction system (details can also be seen on the rules page). Hopefully this will kerb the accusations of moderator power tripping ;) as we now have a nice list of what scores what.

Also let it be noted that a warning can be issued without points given (the prefered method) so you're not going to get points if you accidentally break one ... however keep doing it .... :dead:

It's all up for dicussion if you have any ideas or comments about the rules/points issued - so please feel free to comment below (y)

What about if you've tried every avenue to get hold of a member i.e. by PM and email, would a FAO thread then be given points?

Judging by the way this thread has so far developed we have just lost some members and three mod

I must admit that the Mods do a very good job!!!

The only critisism i ever have is the intolerance that is sometimes shown to newbies because of basic questions that regular forum users already have knowledge off

I feel that deleting a post and appling a correctly worded direct contact (even a bogo letter) would have more effect and ensure continuing subscription rather than the far too frequent public humiliation

yeah but its a tricky one.
delete the thread and they post wheres my thread
leave it and have multiple posts on the same stuff
make up faq's,guides etc and some dont look or just post anyway

theres some stuff coming that should make it much easier for members to locate info which i think will make a big difference.
as with most forums when you 1st join its hard to find some info, stickys etc when theres loads of sections
