UPDATE Classifieds updated now with POSTCODE searching!

The classifieds software has now been updated to the latest one, which means its a bit more stable etc etc... however the great new feature added is the Postcode Distancing!

Now when you place an ad, you put in your postcode (the first half), people browsing your ads are then able to put in their postcode and it will tell you the distance....!!!

Also added are fields for car sales (Mileage, Colour, Year, MOT Left and Tax Left)

The classifieds will be getting a big publicity push soon, so we want to fill them up as much as possible!

Thanks to Sammiboo for keeping me awake whilst trying to find the bugs (y) lol...

Ben, this may seem silly to you but is the postcoding software fully licensed? OS claim they hold the licensing for postcoding and the RM own the actual post codes. RM can't protect these (they can't be copyrighted as it's like a road name, it simply can't be) but OS have been claiming that their database has been abused in this way.

It has meant that some postcoding programs for PDAs have been lost sadly.

Would it not be sensible if for MOT & Tax left they were date fields which worked out how much left as some cars may be on sale for some time, therefroe after a month, false advertising.
Just a suggestion...

Paul: Yes :D :p You just buy the PAF file off them..

And to Gaz, no it can't do dates, it just allows additional text boxes... grrr...

Praise people., praise! :D

Good job Ben :) IF they found out and mardied it could threaten the forum for a little while. I saw people who had the PAF files but OS were complaining about their data possibly being used to location positions of the postcoding.

Just tested it, works a charm :D

What was the outcome on the suggestion of a map, with all established members rough locations on it? This software could be adapted to show the distance of users from each other, couldn't it?
