have tried the internet site, that some one listed in this section but it dont cover modified cars

unless i can get cover i mite be turning up to gaydon in a rover if i can get the time off

any one got any places for me to try?

take out insurance on it... you can cancel in the 14 day period thingy

day insure IIRC doesnt ask for mods etc, rather either the car is worth less than 20,000 or its an insurance group lower than 17

you must also be older than 21 and have held liscence for 2 or more years to get cover with dayinsure though

if you try to take it out it comes up with a page that state what will void the claim - that includes modified cars

would like to take out a policy on it but my ncb's is used on my rover so would cost a fortune to start off with

forgot to tell every one my car is modified. been told no one does it

sell the car to yourself on ebay for £0.01 'buy it now' then use the norwich union 7 day free insurance (all you have to do is get a quote with them and they give a weeks free insurance on any car bought on ebay).

obviously this may go wrong on the off chance that someone bids in the few seconds between the listing going live and you buying it (very very very unlikely if you're quick), so make sure the description states something to put anyone off buying, such as "involved in a fatal road accident, requires a lot of cleaning to remove blood and body parts, especially children's remains on dashboard" that'll stop em bidding.

If you already have a policy on another car, ask your present insurer to add the other car on a temporary policy for a week (costs the same as a day usually ).

wont touch it due to the conversion it took them 5 days to work that out though
