I’ve purchased a new tipo street 1.4 4 door & can’t seem to find an Insurance company that will insure it because it’s not on the database. 78 of these cars were registered in December so it’s not the 1st one so who has one and how have you insured it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi.. thats weird

Surely its registered by engine and body type.. you confirm its as it left the factory.. and its just like any other fiat..

It’s a new car registered jan 2020. Apparently the 4 door saloon doesn’t exist.
Wish I was 17 again ? pushing 40 and not my first tipo.
Adrian flux have insured it, very expensive but the only company that will do it.

The saloon has been around since the tipo reboot.... just not in the UK

But we are not a natural market for 'sedans'... most of the previous booted offerings were missed also.

Shame you couldnt have got insurance as part of the sale.. :(

Anyway.. enjoy the car..!!

I'm sure member ralf_s will be jealous.. ;)

We don't get a Tipo 'sedan' in the UK - they're a hatch or estate.

EDIT: Oh, that's odd! If you go into the configurator, you can build one. But they're not shown on the main car selector page!

Checking Autotrader, I wonder if Fiat UK have just brought in a load of unsold Irish market (or maybe even far-Eastern market) cars?

Wouldn't be the first time it has been done - although it's usually the supermarkets, rather than official importers, who do it.

Hi.
I'm glad we were able to offer you cover but appreciate it if you felt we might have seemed expensive possibly.
Regard,
Dan.

Personally I wouldve gone back to the dealer..and got a conversation going with FIAT UK

There must be 40+ of these vehicles to be placed on the road this year..

Having them insured as 'special build' as a whole sounds absurd.

Thanks Dan.. you are in an ideal position to pick up such
'Non.standard' business.
