Back in August last year I purchased my Fiat 500. I wasn't aware of the insurance offered here at the time and just wanted to get on the road.

I am a provisional driver still at this point and hope to pass my test next week.

I would like to continue my insurance until August if I pass to claim my 1 years NCB does anyone know if that's how insurers work or not?

Would be a shame to lose 8-9 months of no claims with the possibility of insuring an abarth.

My insurer is Autosaint, underwritten by markerstudy.

in general your premium will increase and you'll need to pay the difference.

Is company specific. Not all increase premiums thankfully.

OP regarding your original question, you'd need to complete your term of insurance to get your full year NCD, if you switch part way through then you'll loose what you've got so far so to speak.

Hi,
Schemes for provisional licence holders do vary from insurer to insurer. Some cancel the policy as soon as you pass your test and some will allow you to continue once you've passed your test subject to an additional premium being paid.
Probably best just to check with your insurer however if you do need any help with insurance please feel free to drop me a line.
Regards,
Dan.
