We have had our '05 Multi new-nose for 4 years, we have always had it insured as comprehensive and last month we decided to look around for another car. Something a bit smaller, easier on fuel, tax etc but was hoping that we would get a decent price part-ex, I was gobsmacked to be offered £750 from the dealer that sold it to me for £5.5k and it appears that £750 is the going trade in value.

In the end, we decided to keep her and as there is nothing wrong with her, but my question is, when is it beneficial to switch to 3rd Party F&T if the car is worth peanuts?

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks Eklipze3k, can I ask why as I am hoping to make a decision shortly?

In my opinion, never.

:yeahthat:

No personal injury cover, no glass cover, no assistance to pursue 3rd party insurer if none fault, and generally buggar all cover what so ever.

Often can work out the same price, if not more expensive than fully comp also.

I always have been, and always will be fully comp, even on £350 Pandas.

thanks for that, I'll try Chris Knott for a quote and see if they can beat it.
