Best Insurance Company For A T-Jet

Need a bit of advice, I was and still am for the next month insured with Quinn I am 20 and have 3 years NC and insurance cost me 1400 which is fine a little expensive but im okay with that. I got a letter from them the other day telling me they are not going to renew my policy, as you can imagine a pain in the ass
Now I have been looking around and the cheapest I can find is 2600 I actually first said I was female and it dropped to 1200 which is a disgrace if you ask me.
So my question is do any young T-jet drivers know of any good insurance companies for someone my age with this sort of car.
I dont want to sell it but may have to leave it uninsured and take the bus for a bit untill I can sort it all out

I havent got a Tjet but i plan on getting one in the new year. I'm with Brentacre, mines a modified policy but they do normal car insurance and they are fantastic.

there is no best insurance company you just have to look and look and look

if you are going to mod it then ovbiously a insurance company that specialise in modded cars will be better

I thought Quinn stopped insuring people? I'm with admiral, probably one of the best options, can save a nice bit of cash if you put another car or 2 on the same policy (multi-car) aswel.

Oh have they? I knew they went into administration a couple of years back and were bought out by government thats probably the reason then. I would love to have a multi-car insurance policy but there are no other cars to insure atm. My friends Panda 100 went from 1800 to 800 on that, huge saving.

Thanks for the link but I'm getting this error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'

Subscript out of range: '[number: 3]'

/Sky/PMCQQ1DVLA_submit.asp, line 75

Ive tried it on 3 different browsers and 2 computers now, so I don't think its on my end.

this is after putting in car details and pressing next

No, they went into a self imposed Administration state, stopped taking on new business outside of Ireland (including renewals) for about 5 months from Jan - May 2010, then decided to come out of Admin, take on all business again but they completely reworked their risk pricing.

OP has the letter explained why they won't cover you from renewal? Have you called to find out? Have you notified companies of this when getting quotes

It's in all the standard wording for obtaining quotes - "have you now or ever been refused insurance..."

What's p***ing my boys off at the moment is that they both have mates who drive much better cars (age, performance etc) than they do & all talk about getting insurance much cheaper than my lads can sort out - and they've rung round them all - it's so obvious that their parents are fronting & making them pay the premiums.
I've told my lads to mention their mate's seriously reduced premiums when they ring the insurance companies but they refuse to grass their mates - oh well, you'll just have to continue paying mortgage prices for tpft bangers.

It's ok, their mates will become croppers, as will their parents, and the lt thing you want to do it have insurance cancelled at such a young as as it'll need to be declared for life if asked!

Quite a few insurance companies now have fronting investigators that work on policy's even if no claims have been made
