i thought i would post something positive as it seems that most of the other threads are about problems or cost.
background information on the claim: i hit a badger at 60mph it did about £1200+ worth of damage to the front end of my car and seeing as my excess is £500 i put a claim in.
i rang elephant on 26 april and they took all the information. (including asking if i felt liable didnt realise badgers could get insurance). they put me straight through to an approved garage who picked up the car and dropped of a courtesy car on the 5 may.
i got the car back from the garage on the 12 may (after picking it up as was easier but they would have dropped it off) and paid them my excess. the car was cleaned and valeted and i got superb service from the garage.
this is the first claim i have made so cant compare it to anything but from reading other threads mine seemed to be alot less painfull although that could have been down to me accepting liability and there was no other vehicles involved.
