What are the pro's and cons of the 10 month = 1 year NCB insurance policy?

other con is some companies wont honor an accelerated ncb so you are stuck with the one you are with

Well I've heard that, Admiral seem to be the only cheap option for me at the moment, so I decided to go with them. Ended up being £1019, which I don't think is too bad
Admiral bonus accelerator is a standard 1years ncb recognised by call insurance companies, directline's named driver ncb for example though is only recognised by themself.

Im using a 10 month policy at the moment, as my renewal was in December, and im goin to uni in lat september, so for me a 10month policy made sense, even though it works out costing more per month than a 12 month policy, it saves me money overall compared to 12 month policy where i wouldnt be driving for the last 2 months anyway.
I went with Elephant, and as far as i know it is a legit full 1 years no claims.

That's what they told me, it will be recognised as a full year with other companies, even if it isn't, it was still by far my cheapest quote.
Might cost more per month compars to the 12 month policy. But when renewal comes it will be much cheaper because you have 1 NCB already.
The money saved outweights the extra cost / month IMO.
