Hi guyss,,
Just got 6 points for a CD10 from back in October so I'm banned for year (n)
Anyone know of any good insurance companies I should look out for that will be affordable (y)
Got a 1.1 '99 Punto mk1

Cheers

Ouch, Im paying over £2k for a year. CD30 and SP30 and a writeoff. Expect to pay somewhere in the region of £2500 to £3000 for your cheapest quote. Oh and im driving a 54 plate 1.2 8v punto.

6 points doesn't get anybody a ban unless they already have at least 6 points. Even then, a totting up ban would be a max of 6 months unless you have had previous totting bans.
If you want accurate advice you have to tell the whole story.

Soon as you pass your tests again, your back on the road (y)
You are only off the road for a week or so under the new driver rules. You get advance warning of the date on which your licence revocation takes place and can drive up to that date. You can apply for a new licence right away and drive with L plates, a supervising driver and insurance that covers you in your new status. The only period off the road is while you are between licences - a week or so.

I was gunna say that lol 12 points and your banned
!2 points means you will be banned for 6 months unless you can show that a ban would cause exceptional hardship. If you can prove to the court that a ban would cause exceptional hardship you can keep driving - even with 13 or more points.
