Hi :)

I just recently ordered a punto evo and currently looking around for insurance. Im 22 and had my license since Mar 2007, 1year NCB with 3points on my license for a SP30 in April last year.

Done it through confused.com and get about 1.2k per year with high excess and I cant seem to get a quote online with morethan (my current insurer)

Any idea's of insurance company's that aren't on these comparison websites that support relatively young drivers with high(ish) performance cars?

Any help would be much appreciated :D

Currently insured on a 1.2 corsa (1995 N reg) for 500quid this year

Try directline, there not on comparison sites and there not usually that good for cheap deals.. but they've seen me pretty well so far.

I've also ordered a punto evo (eleganza 105) £498 quote, will be looking around but my insurance on my 1.2 99 plate punto was about £280, so £498 doesnt seem bad for a brand new car etc

That said, im 25 / no claims / no points etc...so Punto Evo Sporting isnt going to cut you and breaks :p

Im with Liverpool Victoria (www.lv.com), not sure if they appear on any comparison sites but i'm 22 and pay £500 on a 09 T-Jet. I do have 4 years NCB though and no convictions, but they may be worth a try.

Tried Aviva and they always appear to charge alot more than other companys (charged just as much when i used to work for them and apparently was supposed to get staff discount)

I'll have a bash with direct line and LV, cheers for the suggestions :)

Try Adrian flux they will beat any quoate and they wont rape if you modify your car unlike other companys.

Oh I pay 480 a year for an Abarth gp they did'nt even put it up when the car was SS'd even though it jumps up 3 groups, again when I wrapped my car in matt black it also was'nt affected.

I wouldn't touch them with a bardge pole!

Have you ever had to make a claim with them?

not for the car, home insurance i have and well, cant say i was too impressed with paying £150 excess thinking im getting new professional carpet cleaner/new flooring/skirts/unit.... just for a carpet cleaner to do a 10x12 space then being told the rest of the damage is down to buildings cover not contents (which wasnt with them)
