Lol I dont have a "living" I'm a full time student. :)
I work saturdays and sundays and in the school holidays - average about 900/1000 a month working in the mobile-phone industry.

I'm still suprised of myself lol - I'm shocking at saving! Id rather just hit the pub when I get paid. Worth it though (y)

I don't understand how yours is so expensive mos, isn't it a 8v too?
More than a 1.4 16v?!

I don't understand either mate, its a 1.2 8v !!!
I thinking its just because i was only 17 in june so i think it drops each month but my test is in a month so it may drop slightly but not by a lot :(
Its upsetting how much i am set to lose.

Nice op. Ringing to book my pass plus tonight then going to be getting a quote with direct line. Is it always 20% off? Even if your on your parents insurance?

I saved around £400 with pass plus, was getting quotes for £1500+ (this was when I was 18 though).

Try direct line on your own name (becareful because they dont allow any mods) and bell with at least one 40+ woman. bear in mind dl isnt on comparison sites and bell never seems to work on the sites for me, go direct.

im going to go home and have a look at this site tonight hopefully save some money, my mom wont mind going on my insurance

Not yet passed my test but ive got my car ordered and a deposit down. Ive been looking at quotes on Confused.com and the cheapest for me (with my dad on the policy as well as a secondary driver) is £728 for a year. I thought it would be alot more considering im only 19 and im really surprised it wasnt. They are harsh with male drivers cause apprently your all "Boy racers" lol.

LOL im 19 living in Bradford, have a Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 16v Sporting with no mods, just had my renewal with 2 years licence and 2 years ncb with clean licence and no accidents so far......£1900!!!! and i work for privilege car insurance......rip off!!!

AS said by dave earlier in this thread direct line will not acept mods under the age of 25 not to sure if this applies while on your parents policy somthing to look in before getting a quote happened to a m8 had to put everything back to standard even alloys back to steelies(n)

Quinn Direct are reasonably good for young drivers....
On my first year I had an Escort 1.8 GTI. Cost me £1000
Then had a Brava 1.8 ELX and went to £780 then £640
Then I was given a Volvo 1.8 S40 off my grandad and in went up by £400.
Went on to Go Compare and the cheapest I got was £670 from eCAR.
Done the quote on eCAR directly and got it at £634.

So I'm guessing from the above that my

£165 full comp with £500 XS on a '59 reg TJet 120 Sport is quite low.
Inc hire car if needed.
65% NCD and clean licence.

At last age has it's advantages.

(my 56 reg 1.4 active sport was £123)

Those are for a year by the way, both with Swiftcover.
