Just to let you know that the latest figures show that aproximately 1 in every 2 members who ring us for a quote take out a policy, which is high compared to the market norm.

Thanks very much for supporting the club through this and I'd encourage you all to ring us when your renewal is due - 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961.

I forgot to ask for a quote first :(
and the woman on the phone sounded the same twice

nice simple email tho :)
saved me exactly 10% from my best quote
but to make it sound better
saved me 28% from the best quote from my EX
will be going up through the year tho when i start doing my minor modifications. but with reasonable rates.

Yes, it's 19 and over for TPF&T & 21 and over for Comp cover.

FFS:mad:

I know I was told 19 when I rang up back in March and was 18, but wasn't told that was for TPFT. I though that was fully comp also

Looks like you won't be seeing me for another 2 years then  Why :bang:

Re: Fiat Forum/chris Knott Insurance Scheme - Latest Figures

why you want to be fully comp its a panda

Because for £150 extra I may as well get some dosh back in the event of having to go through a claim. I'm also covered for injury claims if the smack is my fault, I also get a courtisy car (which I would need ;)), I also get free stone chip cover which I'm using atleast every 8 months, I also get cove for things like CD player etc which I wouldn't on 3rd party.

I also concider my head to be screwed on properly. For £150 more, I get one hell of alot extra, and it pays for itself. (y)

does this offer cover northern ireland?

Sorry, no.
It's solely to do with the fact that the insurers have an agreement that UK brokers can't quote for Northern Ireland & NI brokers can't quote for the UK mainland.

aw ragin, guess im stuck with my premium. no bother. ill shop around and see if i can find a cheaper quote for another wee while yet

Got my renwal sorted with mods declared too cheaper than last years by at least 10% :D :).

One question I have though is I took the insurance out before I've just installed a genuine Fiat / Meta Alarm will I get a reduction or will this wait until renewal?.

Some feedback for you to mull over...

Can't say I was quoted happy today, infact, I didn't even get quoted.

Though this was just about understandable, given I have a pending claim from April this year which has stripped me of my NCB for the time being (I'm just in the motions of getting my costs back).

Anyhow, I have one big question that I would love answered:

Apparently, the other big issue with me was that the car is extensively modified and the work has been done by myself and not professionally.

But hang on, an insurance company that markets itself on car forums such as this one, yet runs away when modifications are carried out by the owners? Surely the time and effort taken to carry out such an amount of work shows I am not ragging this thing to an inch of its life on the road.

As evidenced by a good response from others on the forum, you do appear to be able to cover standard/mildly modified cars well. Just incase my tone sounds overly negative:p

Unfortunately, there aren't any discounts for alarms.

Will find out and get back to you regarding the reason for not quoting.
