Re: Offer 1 : Fiat Forum Insurance – Save up to 15% on your best quote!

My renewal with Admiral was £456 for Fiat 500 1.4 Sport 7 years protected NCB.
Cheapest comparable quote with same £100 excess/legal protection/courtesy car etc I could find was £370 through confused .com with The AA.
Admiral said they couldnt match The AA but could lower it to £396.

Chris Knott came out at £330.(y)

Hi
Just to let you know that I'm away next week (20-24 July) & 24-28 August so if I'm a little tardy in replying, you'll know why!

Please continue to post your experiences on here. We've had a great year so far, taken on more staff - twice now (!) - and streamlined our system to cope better so it's good that we can help you!

One club actually complained that we had so much positive feedback/testimonials on our email, that it took them ages to open it!!!

When ringing for an insurance quote, please don't forget to quote the club name and/or reference number found either in my signature or in the original post of this thread.

quoted 219 but best price is 214. Not able to drive other vehicles T/P if i could have done then i would have taken out the policy. Not that I really need to drive other cars but its handy in case of an emergency.

Re: Offer 1 : Fiat Forum Insurance – Save up to 15% on your best quote!

Not impressed with my renewal. Came in at £800 including interest on direct debit. I only paid £700ish last year. Just got a quote on go-compare for £570 will ring up on monday and see if it can be beaten.

Thats on the punto btw I only pay £850 fully comp on the coupe!

Chris
Yes, give the team a ring but I can tell you renewal prices hardly change if there is no reason to.
Maybe check with the team also to confirm this is correct as I expect you paid the same amount last year. Remember - no deposit this year.

The renewal quote actually went up on last year lol.

No problem though your team was helpful and matched my best quote I got elsewhere (y) :worship:.

Re: Offer 1 : Fiat Forum Insurance – Save up to 15% on your best quote!

I noted the below linked post in other thread concerning fees. I'm posting it here as well as I'd like as many people who think they may be moving house during their insurance term to know about these fees as they may be worth bearing in mind..

https://www.fiatforum.com/insurance...scheme-chris-knott-insurance-6.html?p=2195348

You're wrong!
Any change of address has a £10 fee ONLY if there is a change in premium otherwise there is no charge whatsoever!

Re: Offer 1 : Fiat Forum Insurance – Save up to 15% on your best quote!

Hi,
All the comments I made about the fees were exactly what I was told approx 2pm this afternoon on the phone to you. I phoned 08009172274 and selected option for car insurance.

I was on the phone to you informing you about the change of address so I was clearly going through the proper channels. The £35 fee is not mentioned in the terms of business so how else would I know about it? When I asked why the refund would be so low if I was to cancel I was told there is a £10, £35, and £58 fee, all of which apply.

The £35 was the increase because you moved to a higher area. Obviously this wouldn't be mentioned in our terms of business because we would not know if you were going to change address nor where you where going to move to!!!

The £10 was our fee as per our terms of business letter sent to you when you first incepted the policy.

The £58 is a completely separate matter if you cancelled the policy. This is the clawback commission for the unexpired portion of the policy as charged by the insurers. Again this is in the terms of business but of course not the exact charge because nobody would know the date you would cancel from if ever.

Wrong!
£45 was your quoted fee for the increase in premium.
I repeat: When I asked why the refund would be so low if I was to cancel I was told there is a £10, £35, and £58 fee, all of which apply.

£35 increase + £10 fee = £45!!!

Your second sentence is wrong so i think there has been a misunderstanding.

Do you want me to get my colleague who dealt with you to contact you?

Re: Offer 1 : Fiat Forum Insurance – Save up to 15% on your best quote!

Please don't forget to ring us if you have received your car insurance renewal through.

People insuring with us in the first 6 months of this year made an average recorded saving of £60.02 off their BEST quote.

In July, we had our 3rd best month ever in 26 years of trading.

Earlier this month, we recorded our best ever weekly figures from the forums.

We have taken on more staff to cope with demand.

This scheme has been set up for you as a community so we can provide the discounts on your other cars as well!

Please ring 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961 if ringing by mobile, and don't forget to mention the club name/reference number.
