I just rechecked all the details on my insurance documents as it started today and noticed they have (rather nicely and most likely accidentally as nothing was mentioned previous to my checking the paperwork) given me 13 months instead of 12. So do I just accept the bit of paper (insurance certificate itself) that tells me I'm insured until Christmas Eve next year or do I point it out to them and risk them changing it back to 12 months?

I think I know what I SHOULD do, just wondering if others have been in a similar position and how it was resolved?

Could be a miss print so best to check with them, Not worth the risk if you drive with no insure this time next year, Just my 2p's worth :)

Even though it may be a misprint in your favour, what if something happens in the last month and they stand firm that the agreement is only 12 months long?

Which company? some do special offers where you might get 13 months for the price of 12.

Phone them to query it, insurance companies cover themselves with the small print, it probably says somewhere that the policy period is 12 months unless explicitly stated to the contrary.

Not worth the risk of being caught driving without insurance.

Now normally as you all already know im not really a fan on keeping to the insurance policy but i would def check that out because that could really cause probs. Even if you did have an accident in the 13th month and you did have a case to fight them about it, is it worth the effort when your insurance is pretty cheap from the impression i get from other threads. You could end up without a car while the dispute go's on which can take over a year, and even then if you didnt win you'd loode your liscence.
It is easy to say these things but im not sure what i would do if i were actually in your situ. Its completely different from a third party perspective.

Own up Helz... Jeez what is it actually saving you?

And there is no ground like the High Moral ground when it comes to serious sh*t like insurance! (y)

Exactly - and who knows? They might like your honesty and give you the 13th month for free :)
