Just to make you jealous Tris, i have just been quoted £900 to insure an Active Sport Punto like yours (with simple insure). However, More Than wouldnt insure me due to my age?, when i have my more powerful Stilo insured with them :confused: , on the other end of the scale i have also been quoted nearly £10k to insure an Audi RS4 Convertible - my next car :rolleyes:

my mate has an astra VXR with a crash on his record and his premium is £8000 lucky bastard (n)
 
To be honest, if he is loaded then i dont really think that would matter and as long as you can afford it - who cares :confused:

Picture this, if you were to win 3 million on the lottery, and you were say 18-19, and bought a nice Porsche/Lambo/Ferrari or whatever, i dont really think that the £10k insurance is going to matter all that much - just a slong as you have some :D
 
My advice for what it's worth, tell your insurance company everything. Makes it so much easier in the long run, if you lie to this insurance company you have to lie to every insurance company for the next 5 years to make sure you dont get found out. Thats assuming the insurance company you're with doesn't know already.

Just renewed the insurance on my Marea 20V, only £220, fully comp! The advantages of being 40 and grumpy.
 
Got it £780 fully comp all Declaired except the filter but that will be added after i get this bloody remap done finally. ICE is only up to £750 so a call to customer services today to see how much it would be to increase that. And some peple paying out £8000 must have an extremely unlucky driving history either that or went through a very dodgy insurance company.

i might have missed what car you drive aswell :S
and how old are you? lol

im always interested how i have a 899 sei and its about £980 to insure in my parents name 3rd party, and they have endless no claims...
although i started as a learner with this policy, although it had no preference wither i had a provisional or full lisence when we got it orignally, when it came to renew, i had a pass plus lisence, and it cost the same :confused: but they said, if we had informed them right after i had passed, they would have gave us a cash back reduction! but i missed out on that... :eek::( so that made no sense!

Right theres a lot to remember but here we go. Im 22 and got my insurance through Bell through Money Supermarkets discount. Confused is not as good for me as Helz said and i couldnt beat that price anywhere. I dont have a punto i used to untill i flipped it 4 times into a field so does that answer any q's about dodgy driving history. The car is a 1.6 stilo active sport and theoretically the insurance should be lower than 1.2 punto sporting but insurance co's make up theire own groups. I didnt declaire any mods aprt from the fact that i have a bit of ice and that isnt insured to the full value as of yet as i realised that i dont have proof that i own a lot of it so they wouldnt pay out anyway.
I live in an pretty undesirable area and i used to have points on my liscence but i think there time has run out.
This was the 1st time i have been insured on my own policy 0 ncd but 4 years experience as a named driver. 2 Claims.
A bit disjointed i know but i hope i answered all q's
I have found a new job now so the air filter and other mods will be added soon. I still havnt had remap done as i have decided to learn how to do it myself. Its just a shame i dont have a Rolling Road anywhere near me.

P.s Not all of us are financially sound so it is hard to declair mods especially when you have to pay the rediculous amounts that we do (granted that may be self inflicted)
