Thats the point, Alex probably would not get insurance on his own for that car. Anyways... I am done, there is only so much we can do to help.

Saying that however, with enough money, you can get insured on anything.

Which starts the arguement, are people with more money better drivers ...

As Ben says if your willing to pay silly amounts you can always get insurance

I wont get drawn back in here guys, Alex sounds like the kinda lad whos Dad has loadsa dosh, but, there are many insurance companies that wont even quote for some drivers and cars, and the premium indicates the risk they are prepared to cover. £800 is the least my 17yr old daughter can get 3rd party cover for on a 1.0litre S plate Micra, but I am happy to pay it knowing she is the main user, the car is hers, in her name and on her policy. Peace of mind.

I rest my case and will read with interest, but I am done now on this subject for good.

thanks for sticking up for me guys lol, shouldn't have mentioned the way i drive, i can swear i don't drive like that all the time, i just like to feel the power now and again. plus, i do it safely!

if you want to see a ridiculous driver my mate dean will happilly take you through a school zone at 100+ (done it before)!! he's a total idiot!
