basicly...i drive a 1.2 16v punto mk2b...im 18, 1yrncb 2 years in november...my mums just acquired a mercedes SLK 200 kompressor, and was wondering if there is any chance that there is a legal way for me to drive it everynow and then...NOT as my main car...

a friend of mine says that if i go fully comp with some insurance companies they allow me to drive anycar but will only be covered 3rd party....i think this is bull but thought id ask....thank you for anyhelp and advice

your friend is half right some do, but not for your age

age is one issue plus you will be asked if you have access to other vehicles in your household so will need ot declare the merc.

I had the same problem when I was 18, my dad bought a top of the range Audi 100, no way could I get insured on it. It's hard but thats the way it is.

Can your mum not add you as a named driver...however, I wouldn't blame you if she won't as she'll lose her ncb if you stack it ...stick with the punto
