im just wondering if any of ya have had any problems with dirt on the sensor and what you use to clean it,.,
i have a D80 and theres a welded on spot on it thats coming up in the photos, ive used other lenses so its defo not a dirty lens and ive cleaned it with Carl Zeiss Optics wipes and still no luck with it., its starting to bug me now coz i have to photoshop the dot on every pic and im sick of trying to clean it.,:( .,

cheers.,(y)

best thing is them rocket things aint it. fires air onto the sensor and cleans it.

i don't know, i can't pull the lenses off my cameras (and expect to be able to put them back on and have it work afterward!)

aparently its not good to use compressed air to clean them as the different temperatures and pressures between the air in the can and the air outside creats moisture and gets blown into the camera's sensor.,
also compressed air doesnt move the welded on spots, only surface dust.,:(

oh right., i get ya now,. the one that i was lookin at before was called a rocket something or other and it was compressed air so i just thought you were talkin bout the same one.,
cheers.,

never use the compressed air in a can job

the rubber blowers are the job, or cheaper yet, a chemistry lab style squirter thing (y)

to get spots off, tar wipes for cars might shift it, although I'd test it on something else (maybe an old filter thats cracked or wrecked) to make sure it isnt abrasive atall.

yeah i knew not to use the compressed air on it., it wont come off with air alone anyway but ive cleaned it with optic wipes and it dont seem to have made any difference.,:(
its getting on my nerves now., oh well.,

cheers.,;)
