I love em!

I wish i had pots of money to buy all Fiats! :D

If i had to get a less powerful car it would be a strong difficult choice between the Panda and the Idea!

MULTIJET ANYDAY!!

Are they going to bring a more powerful engine to the Idea range?

currently 1.4 and 1.3 Multijet isn't it???

1.8 Petrol and a 1.9 115bhp blatently!

And definitely an Abarth version....

Anyone see the alloys on the Preview Idea car at the Geneva motorshow 2003 - It looked Gorgeous!

the 1.3 multijet seems to be the one to go for. think the Idea is gonna be a hit in Ireland anyway. kicks Focus C-max ass anyday Journalists say the c max is the best looking mini mpv, I think it's disgusting, mate of mine bought one in January, they didn't include the tool for removing the locking alloy nut, Great!

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX, what do you want? cupholders? open door warning light? grow up!

oh yeah, they're calling it the (ee-day-ah) over here as oppesed to Idea (eye-dee-ah) bit pretentious isn't it?

C-Max belongs to an "upper" segment, so you can't compare it to an Idea:)!Here the Idea is currently available with the 1.4fire 95Hp,1.3Mjet 70Hp and the 1.9Mjet 100Hp;).Don't know if it's intended to extend the range of models...and if there's the need to do it:D!

the c max has a 1.6 diesel and is similarly priced (over here anyway) the Idea is taller than the Cmax but admittedly is 5" narrower than the ford. suppose the cmax is aimed at scenic drivers and the Idea at Vauxhall meriva size?
the meriva looks too much like a tall corsa for my liking. makes it look smaller than it is

I've just seen one of these today, a chap locally has bought one and it looks lovely, however, I have to say it seems to have lots of bits on, looks like a sports pack, 16in alloys, skirts, rear spoiler, etc, but looks cool, don't know how a basic one will look.

FIAT Stilo Sport. Pretty Much Bog Standard Really. Rear Roof Spoiler,
Sill Protectors, Aluminium Foot Pedals, Eibach 30mm Drop Springs.

yeah cos it should steal sales from the saloon market which is big in ireland. Due to the tax system being based on engine size not CO2 emmissions
1.0 = bout E100 3.0 = bout E1100 the 1.3 multijet should be a roaring success due to its small engine size and great economy

1.9 100 bhp?? Why aren't Fiat UK providing that engine??!!

I just don't understand Fiat?!?!

They don't seem to be doing things right... They might great cars and have access to powerful yet economical engines but not use em!

Whats going on with the Lancia's!!!

The New 500/Trepuino ought to be brought out now and not in 2 yrs time!!
Why doesn't the Multiwagon have a 2.4 Litre 175bhp Engine?!

Crazyness...

What's so special about the Idea then? Isn't the only thing different to the Punto it's height. It's the same length and width so it seems to me the usable space is the same, it will just be slower with the same engines because of its extra weight...

It's the same with the C-Max, it has no advantages over the standard focus and it's more expensive, and they wonder why they're not selling any. I predict the Idea will not last out the year - I don't know why manufacturers expect to sell these cars just because they are taller and they call them MPV's when the truth is they have no extra 'purposes' than any other small car!

In my opinion Fiat should concentrate on producing a profitable competitively priced Mondeo/Vectra/406/Octavia/Laguna class estate rather than producing so many small cars they can't sell them all!

Any other opinions on this?
