Technical overheating idea

hi newbie here we have a 1.4 idea 05 plate it keeps overheating fan doesn,t seem to cut in recently had new water pump and cambelt done any help please

Ok, first things first. Does the heater blow out hot air and i mean hot not warm. Second there are two bleed points on the 1.4, first one on top of the rad on the right hand side if looking from the front of the car and second one is near the rear of the engine bay roughly in line with the gap between engine and battery. Most garages forget to bleed the one at the back, so you might have an air lock. Open your heaters to max heat etc then bleed both points and see if anything changes.

As usual when people get the info they need they don't come back and reply with the outcome, hence not helping any future problem seekers with the resolution.

Seems to be normal these days which is a shame as forums like these rely on peoples input and feedback to help others down the line.
