I have unexplained negative camber and the inside of my tyres are wearing faster than the rest

Anyone have any clue why this is ?

Yes the mechanic said it may be down to it having the wrong parts fitted but he didn't really know he just corrected the toe

If this is immediately after fitting new struts, then they are wrong.
ePER do not list any front struts that fit both Idea and Punto that I can find.
At the bottom of the struts is a bracket that attaches to the hub with two bolts. The angle of those holes to the strut will determine the camber of the wheel.

Your wheels are so obviously wrong. You should go back and demand they replace with correct parts. And ask for a contribution for tyre wear.

Euro Car parts list different ones for Punto and Idea, about the same price, so no worries there.
Sachs list different part numbers for the two models.

And once fixed, don't go near this guy again.

Hello I don't think it's the struts as I replaced the passengers front and that has the same negative camber , I know about the 2 holes the bolts go into and there's no give in those ? They are a single bolt hole size with no movement.

Often there is quite a lot of play in the two bolt holes joining strut and knuckle.
You could try jacking front of the vehicle both sides, loosening the bolts pulling the top off the Knuckle out and tightening the two bolts.
Makes a huge difference on other makes .

You're missing the point. The brackets, and therefore the bolt hole locations are likely different on the correct Idea struts, compared with the Punto struts. You can't adjust it out, you need to fit the correct parts.

I've used the correct part when replacing the near side strut and it has the same negative camber as the driver's side so it's not to do with the wrong strut used

So you've now got an Idea strut on one side, and a Punto one on the other? Different damping rates are likely, so potentially dangerous. Whatever is fitted needs to be a pair.

Another thought, the top mountings can be fitted incorrectly. There are a few threads on this on the Punto sections, might be an idea to have a look.

Has anything else been changed? Bottom arms perhaps? For more incorrect parts? If the incorrect camber happened when work was done, you need to revisit that work and check everything that was done.

I'm not sure what strut is on the other side I'm assuming it would be the correct one , good idea about the top mount I'll investigate more , incorrect camber was found once I bought the car , I checked the cars previous Mots and found it had inner wear on tyres on most of the advisories

On a separate thing does anyone know where I can buy a pair of self adjusters for the rear drums or what part number they are as I can't find them anywhere.

If you are certain that the struts are correct, and after checking the top mounts all is still ok there, think about the bottom arms. Do they look recent? Could be incorrect.

Measure the distance from inner pivot to outer ball joint and ask on here for someone to measure theirs.

For the brake adjusters. If you have Bosch rear drums, like the Panda, then this is what you need. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-PAN...1F-/331380025051?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275
This company do not list for the Idea, but the Fiat listings say same for both. Brilliant price too, as previously I've only found about twice that price each. This seems to be for the pair.

I changed the shock absorber and it's all sorted
