Hi. Its electric
May be alternator output dipped.
Is the battery light showing..??
Or the steering light.
When you say 'not working' do you mean the CITY function isn't working or the whole PAS isn't working ?

The battery light is on
Take the battery off and give it a FULL charge and see if it improves. If the battery light is on then your battery is nearly flat.
Flat batteries throw up all sorts of errors on these.
Ok. Could be youve drowned the alternator
The battery light signifies its not charging..you should see 12 volts across the battery terminals with engine off.
And 14 volts with it running.
Its driven by a belt.
So that COULD be snapped..or slipping..
Are there any weird squeaks/screetches..?
