Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone with an Idea has experienced any issues with the battery constantly dying. My mums Idea is a nightmare we keep having to jump start her. Shes disconnected the radio for well over a year now.. Is there a common known issue with the Ideas??

Use the Sacrificial drain GUIDE in the punto 2/B section.;)

remember the battery will object to being FLAT so often..,

the Idea we had was dirt cheap - because of a similar issue - they drove to the shops once a week,
once it was in regular use it gave no issues for the 2 years of ownership..,

Only problem I've had with my battery going flat was due to the battery having a dodgy cell so not charging fully. Since changing the battery it's been fine (touch wood).

Which engine do you have and if it does need a new one fit the biggest one you can with as many AH and CCA as possible.

My 1.4 16v has a Varta C30 (size 012) Silver battery fitted (54AH, 530CCA). I think the diesel version can have the Varta D15 (size 027) Silver battery (63AH, 610CCA).

Buy mine from here:
